Maudie J Smith 71 of LaGrange died Monday at West Georgia Medical Center The 
funeral was today at Gray Hill Church of God with burial in Gray Hill Baptist 
Church Cemetery Mrs. Smith was born April 24, 1916, in Randolph County Ala 
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Embry. She lived in LaGrange most of her life and 
was a member of Gray Hill Church of God. Survivors include five sisters Sarah 
Waldrip, Willis Mae Hamil, Ethyl Parmer all of LaGrange Helen Cammon of Franklin 
and Lucie Mitchell of Wedowee Ala, a brother Hugh Embry of LaGrange nieces and 
nephews.
