OBITUARIES:

Lucy H. Spears

   (Roanoke)  Mrs. Lucy H. Spears, age 94, of 209 Davis Drive, Roanoke, died 
Sunday, Feb. 10, 1985 in Randolph County Hospital in Roanoke.
   Mrs. Spears is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Gladys Kirby and Mrs. Allie 
Kirby, both of Rt. 3, Roanoke and Mrs. Mabelline Young of Roanoke; three sons 
Leon Spears and Grady Spears of Roanoke and Jewell Spears of Barnesville, GA.; 
18 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
   Funeral services for Mrs. Spears were conducted Monday, Feb. 11 at 2 p.m. 
from Highway Methodist Church with the Rev. Vernon Willis and the Rev. Charlie 
Bolt officiating.  Burial was in the church cemetery.
   Pallbearers were Calvin Kirby, Ricky Kirby, James Hester, Jimmy Spears, 
Virgil Spears and Wesley Spears.
   Quattlebaum's Brown-Service Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
