Anniston Star
Mrs. Josie Crosson Stephens 224 F St Anniston died Sunday at Stringfellow 
Hospital after a short illness. Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the 
Center West Baptist Church with the Revs G. L. Payne and Alvin Dempsey 
officiating, burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Mrs. Stephens is 
survived two sons Roy Stephens of Marietta GA and Hugh Stephens of Anniston, one 
brother Aulcy Crosson of Heflin, seven grandchildren and five great-
grandchildren, Active pallbearers will be Buford and J.C. Johnson, Brewer and 
Freddy Phillips and George and Winmon Buckhannan. Mrs. Stephens was a native of 
Randolph County. She had been a resident of Anniston for one month. She was a 
member of the Centre Baptist Church in Randolph County.
