Anniston Star
Henry Gaither Stephens 57 of Delta. Rt. 2, died Monday at the Veterans 
Administration Hospital in Tuskegee. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday 
at the Blair's Funeral Home chapel with Michael Fry officiating. Burial was in 
the Liberty Church of Christ Cemetery with Blair Brown-Service Funeral Home in 
charge. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Eris Stephens of Delta; a daughter. 
Mrs. Virginia Dunevent, Delta; four sons. Johnny Stephens, Miami, Fla.; Earl 
Stephen. Perry, Ga., James Stephens. College Park Ga., and Jerry Stephens. Delta 
three sisters. Mrs. Cora Temple. Hickory, N. C; Mrs. Cora Williams, Atlanta and 
Mrs. Irene Harp New Orleans a brother, Floyd Stephens Forrest Park Ga.; and nine 
grandchildren. Mr. Stephens was a veteran of World War II. He had been a patient 
in the Veterans Hospital for three months.
