Roanoke Leader
Stewart Services held at Union Funeral services for Isaac Newton Stewart, 55, 
were conducted by Rev. Herman Caldwell at Union Baptist Church, near Morrisons 
Crossroads, at 11 o'clock last Friday morning, July 25. Interment was in the 
churchyard cemetery, Quattlebaum's Funeral Home directing. Mr. Stewart was one of 
the principals in the double shooting which claimed his life and that of Jim 
Bowen, 50, at the home of Mr. Bowen on Wednesday, July 23. A native of this 
county, he had recently made his home in Anniston. Survivors are his widow; two 
sons: George L. Stewart, of Ambrose, Ga., and John C. Stewart, of Anniston; one 
daughter, Mrs. Carl Manship, of Roanoke; three grandchildren, three sisters, and 
three brothers.
