OBITUARIES:

Wade Richard Striblin, Sr.

   (ROANOKE) Wade Richard Striblin, Sr., age 94, of Rt. 3 Roanoke, died 
Thursday, Jan. 9, 1986 at Lanett Geriatric Center, Lanett, after an extended 
illness.
   Mr. Striblin was a lifelong resident of Randolph County, a farmer and a 
member of Green's Chapel United Methodist Church.
   Mr. Striblin is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Arrie Whaley of Rt. 3, 
Roanoke, and Mrs. Deona Rollins of Rt. 3 LaFayette; one son, Wade Striblin Jr. 
of Rt. 3 Roanoke; 18 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-
grandchildren.
   Funeral services for Mr. Striblin were Saturday, Jan. 11 at 2:00 p.m. at 
Benefield Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. George Steen officiating.  Burial 
followed in the Potash Church of God Cemetery.
   Pallbearers for Mr. Striblin were his grandsons, Rickey Striblin, Ted 
Striblin, Bob Striblin, Robbie Striblin, Larry Rollins and Jerry Rollins. 
   Benefield Funeral of Wedowee was in charge of the arrangements.
