The Roanoke Leader 
                      AGED MAN DIES.
         
          Yesterday afternoon occurred the
         death of Mr John Sudduth, at his
         home a few miles north of town,
         where he had lived for 40 years. He
         was over 70 years of age, and was
         one of the most substantial citizens
         of the county. He was tbe father
         of Messrs J C, M R, R A, W W and
         R H Sudduth and Mrs Elbert Pitt-
         man. The funeral was conducted
         at 11 o’clock this morning at Leba-
         non church. Elder J M Joiner
         conducted the services.
