FAUST and E. M. GLENN were called to LaFayette last Thursday [18 March 1915] to take part in the funeral services for Mrs. Lewis S. SCHUESSLER, whose death was reported in these columns last week. Mr. and Mrs. M. [Major] SCHUESSLER and Mr. T. C. BINGHAM also attended from Roanoke. The services were held at the Baptist church, the Methodist church being unfinished, and all business houses were closed. Mrs. SCHUESSLER was one of the oldest and nost beloved residents of LaFayette. Besides her husband she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. J. S. DOWDELL and Mrs. G. L. JENKINS of LaFayette, and four sons, Messrs. Frank, Elliott, Harrison and Roy SCHUESSLER, who are prominent business men of Wadley, this county. Mary SCHUESSLER DOWDELL, 29 February 1872—15 March 1932, her daughter, Joshua Silas DOWDELL, 19 May 1860—27 July 1925, her son-in-law, Lewis Schuessler DOWDELL, 12 April 1897—5 October 1927, her grandson, Rev. George L. JENKINS, d. 13 March 1915, her son-in-law, Major SCHUESSLER, 13 April 1865—30 December 1942, her nephew? All interred in LaFayette City Cemetery, Chambers County, Alabama, along with many other SCHUESSLERs.
