[From The Roanoke Leader (Randolph County, Alabama), 24 Jun 1903, p.2] ------- Sarah C. SPEARS, 1836--[Jun] 1903, William M. SPEARS, 14 Feb 1836--24 Oct 1911, CSA Veteran, her husband, E. J. SPEARS, 27 Feb 1861--13 Jun 1909, buried in same plot, presumably a child. All interred in the Old Rocky Branch Baptist Church Cemetery, east of New Hope, Randolph Co., Alabama. Since Mrs SPEARS had been bedridden for years, and her husband was still living at the time of her death, it’s likely that she died at her Randolph Co. home.
