BURDETT ---------------------------- After a long period of declining health Mr. S. D. BURDETT died Monday night at his home in East Roanoke. He was 76 years of age and leaves a wife and two children, Mr. John S. BURDETT and Mrs. T. M. SWANN. The funeral services were conducted at the residence of the deceased yesterday afternoon by Elder [probably John T.] SATTERWHITE. Mr. BURDETT had lived in this community many years and had the respect of all our people, who sympathize with the family in their loss.
