OBITUARIES:

Candler Elonza Tatum

   (BIRMINGHAM) Candler Elonza Tatum, age 80, of Birmingham, died January 14, 
1985.
   He was a retired Methodist minister and chaplain at the Birmingham Veterans 
Hospital.
   Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Noreen Dunn Tatum; a daughter, Miss 
Marielon Tatum of Spartanburg, S.C.; and a sister, Mrs. Lavelle T. Smith of 
Atlanta.
   The funeral service was at Turner Funeral Home, Decatur, Ga.  Burial was at 
the Tatum Cemetery, Milltown, with the Rev. Belon Friday and the Rev. James 
Duke officiating.
   Pallbearers were Cleve Aikens, Fred Osborn, Glenn Osborn, Gordon Ballard, 
Ken Ballard and Danny Shaver.
