J. Taylor, 78, of Lineville were to be today at 2 p.m. at Dingler's Chapel Congregational Christian Church with the Rev. Gordon Taylor and the Rev. Valter Taylor. Burial was in the church cemetery. with Benefield Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Taylor died Thursday at Clay County Hospital after a long illness. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Evelyn Taylor of Lineville; three daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Mellon of Childersburg, Mrs. Charlotte Hester of LaGrange, Ga., and Mrs. Pamela Davis of Atlanta, Ga.; five sons, Linwood Taylor of Lineville, Dr. Winford L. Taylor of Arab, Dr. Bobby Gene Taylor of Tupelo, Miss., Jimmy Taylor of Jackson, Term., and Donald Taylor of Birmingham four sisters Nettie Boyd Birmingham, Mrs. Ida Rice and Mrs. Birdie Butler, both of Delta, and Mrs. Lela Calhoun of Woodland; three brothers, Bill Taylor of Birmingham, Frank Taylor of Wedowee, and Charlie Taylor of Delta; 25 grandchildren; and five great-Mary grandchildren. Pallbearers were to be Johnny Taylor, Kenneth Taylor, David Taylor, Edward Taylor, W. A. Taylor and Dorris Waldrop. Mr. Taylor was a native of Randolph County and a member of Dingier s Chapel Congregational Christian Church. He was a retired farmer.
