Services for Eli Benton Teague. 83, of Rt. 1 Heflin will be today at 2 p.m. at 
Pilgrim's Rest Baptist church with the Rev. Steve Dempsey and the Rev. Gus Young 
officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Benefield Funeral Service 
of Wedowee in charge. Mr. Teague died Thursday at Lineville Geriatric Center 
after an extended illness. Survivors include one son, Lyman Teague of Heflin; 
three daughters, Mrs. Betty Easterwood of Newell and Mrs. Jetty Foreman and Mrs. 
Patty Akins, both of Heflin; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Mr. 
Teague was a lifelong resident of Randoph County, a farmer, and a member of 
Pilgram's Rest Baptist Church.
