The dead man was identified as Charley Terrell, who lived near Concord Church on the Roanoke-Wadley Road. Police report that a spot on the head seemed to be bashed in but no evidence could be discovered to show whether the death was caused by accident or was murder. Sheriff Payne of Wedowee took charge of the body and made the investigation. Additional Comments: Note: He was buried in the colored cemetery attached to Concord Cemetery at Wadley.
