Mrs. Gertrude Thrasher, age Wedowee Rt. 1, passed away the home of her daughter, 
Mrs. Dan Cummings, Wedowee ; 2, Sunday afternoon, April at 2:30. Mrs. Thrasher is 
survived by four sons, Bud of Wedowee Rt. 1, Dan of Birmingham, Taft of Miami, 
Fla., and Chart of New Mexico; four daughters, Mrs. Dan Cummings of Wedowee Rt. 
2, Mrs. Annie Workman of Newell, Mrs. Clarice Turley of Heflin Rt. 1, and Mrs. 
Flora Fowler of Wedowee Rt. 1; 41 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. 
Funeral services for Mrs. Thrasher were conducted Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 
o'clock from the Valley Grove Church. Interment was in the church cemetery, 
Quattlebaum's Funeral Home directing.
