Traylor (RT. 2 WEDOWEE) Herbert H. Traylor, 72, Rt. 2 Wedowee, passed away Friday, March 30, at his residence after an extended illness. Mr. Traylor was a native of Randolph County, retired from the State Highway Department, and a member of the Pine Hill Christian Church. Funeral services for Mr. Traylor were held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 1, at Pine Hill Christian Church, with the Rev. David Screws, Rev. Hal Simpson, and Rev. Jack Cain officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Mr. Traylor is survived by his wife, Mrs. Gladys S. [Simpson] Traylor of Wedowee; one daughter, Mrs. Betty Traylor Williamson of Atlanta, Ga.; two sons, Sam Traylor of Stockton, Calif., and Billy Traylor of Wedowee; one sister, Mrs. Lillian Grant of Wedowee; five brothers, Sylvian Traylor of Delta, E. C. Traylor of Zanesville, Ohio, Leo Traylor of St. Petersburg, Fl., Robert Traylor of Wedowee, and Byrd Traylor of Wedowee, and six grandchildren. Pallbearers for Mr. Traylor were Glenn Traylor, Jack Simpson, Michael Cook, Ed Traylor, Gene Coe, and Jackie Whaley. Honorary pallbearers were Curtis Williamson, Walter Bartlett, Tom Brazeal, Jim Gus Taylor, Charlie Ford Wilson, and Zenus Williamson.
