She is survived by her husband, Sanford Turner; two sisters, Mrs. Olivia Caldwell of Roanoke and Mrs. Vivian G. Noles of Dadeville; and one brother, Bill Hill of Roanoke. A longtime member of Lowell Congregational Christian Church, which, now in its new home, has become known as North Main Congregational Christian Church. Mrs. Turner gave witness to her faith through acts of neighborly service to others. Her funeral was the first to be held in the sanctuary of the new church building on North Main Street. The funeral service was conducted at three o'clock Friday afternoon, May 1, with interment in Cedarwood Cemetery, Roanoke. Officiating ministers were the Rev. Kenneth Johnson and the pastor of the church, the Rev. Ed Lauderdale.
