MOORE ---------------------------- When the news sped through the community early Tuesday morning that Theo MOORE was dead, a chill was sent to every sympathetic heart. The shock was all the greater because the dear little girl had been sick only two days, and few even knew of her illness. Scarlet fever, affecting the brain and heart, was the trouble. Theo, a bright, attractive child, was the only living child of Mr. and Mrs. E. M. MOORE. Her going away plunges their home in darkness. But those who weep find comfort in the thought that this tender flower is blooming now beyond the winter’s blast, and far from fever’s scorching breath. The funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 o’clock this afternoon from the home of Dr. [E. M.] GLENN. [From The Roanoke Leader (Randolph County, Alabama), 19 January 1916, p.1] ---------- Theo MOORE, 30 August 1906—18 January 1916, Edgar McPherson MOORE, 13 December 1879—22 March 1956, her father, Mamie FINCHER MOORE, 30 March 1880—24 September 1946, her mother, Virginia MOORE, 13 March 1909—15 September 1909, her sister, All interred together in Cedarwood Cemetery, Roanoke, Randolph County, Alabama.
