A wife and a numerous family of sons and two daughters survive him. He had been entirely deaf for the last ten or twelve years prior to his death. [From The Roanoke Leader (Randolph County, Alabama), 27 May 1903, p.2] ------- Tommy YATES and his wife are buried in the Old Rocky Branch Baptist Church Cemetery, about five miles east of Wedowee, Randolph Co., Alabama. There are no dates on their tombstones.
