Funeral services for Charlie Veal, 93, of Wedowee, were held Saturday at 2:30 
p.m. at the Wedowee First Baptist Church. He died Thursday in Traylor's Nursing 
Home in Roanoke. The Rev. Hal K. Jacks officiated, and burial followed in the 
Wedowee Masonic Cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home of Roanoke in charge of 
arrangements. He was survived by one son, three daughters, two grandchildren and 
one sister.
