Anniston Star
Services for Lessie Waldrop, 88, of Lineville were today at Dingler's Chapel 
Congregational Christian Church with the Rev. Gordon Taylor and the Rev. Roger 
Hammett officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with Benefield Funeral 
Home of Lineville in charge. Mr. Waldrop died Wednesday at Regional Medical 
Center in Anniston. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Maurine Waldrop of 
Lineville; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Braswell of Wedowee and Mrs. Barbara Parker 
of Woodland; two sons, Benny R. Waldrop of Villa Rica, Ga., and Bobby Waldrop of 
Piedmont; a sister, Mrs. Minnie Taylor of Hazel Hurst, Ga.; two brothers, Jacy 
Waldrop of Ashland and Jessie Waldrop of- Lineville; 11 grandchildren and a 
great-grandchild. Mr. Waldrop was a Randolph County native and resident, a 
retired Farmers Co-op employee and a member of Dingler's Chapel Congregational 
Christian Church.
