Waldrop 60, of Anniston with be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Dingler's Chapel Congregational Methodist Church in Lineville with Revs. James King and Jimmy Dan Clayton officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home in Piedmont 6-8 tonight. The body will be at the church an hour prior to services. Mr. Waldrop died Monday at University Hospital in Birmingham. Survivors ' include his wife, Martha Waldrop; three daughters, Shernail Tubbs and her husband, Kevin, of Cedartown, Ga., Sherlana Davis and her husband, Mike, of Gadsden, and Angie Fowler of Anniston; a son and his wife, Sonny and Tammy Waldrop of Gadsden; his mother, Maurine Waldrop of Lineville; two sisters and their husbands, Betty and Bill Braswell of Wedowee, and Barbara and Larkin Parker of Woodland; a brother, Bennie Waldrop of Atlanta; and five grandchildren, Brandon Phillips, Christopher Tubbs, Alex Waldrop, Jennifer Tubbs and Brittany Watson. Pallbearers will be Danny Braswell, Clayton Crenshaw, Wayne Cobb, Patrick Mims, Blair Parker, Cheyenne Good and Lewis Holcomb Jr. Mr. Waldrop, a Wedowee native, had lived in Piedmont. He was a member of Dingler's Chapel Congregational Methodist Church where he served as a deacon. He was preceded in death by his father, Lesslie Waldrop.
