Roanoke Leader
Thursday morning, February 6; Mr. Jesse B. Waller sat down in the family room of 
his home in this place and in a few minutes was found dead. He was in his usual 
health, which had not, however, been good for a year or more. Funeral service as 
conducted at the home at 2 p. m. Friday by Revs. H. H. Ellis and W. E. Lockler 
and interment was in the local cemetery. A wife and two small children and 
several brothers and sisters survive the deceased. Mr. Waller spent his life of 
more than fifty years in this vicinity, being a member of a large and well-known 
family. He was a man of sterling character, being fair in all his dealings, and 
had managed his business with success. His untimely end is deeply regretted.
