Services for Ashley Patrick Weldon Sr., 67, of Lineville will be today at 11 
a.m. at Dingler's Chapel Christian Church in Randolph County with Revs. Gordon 
Taylor and Billie East officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining 
cemetery. The family will receive friends until 10 a.m. at Benefield Funeral 
Home of Lineville. The body will be at the church an hour before services. Mr. 
Weldon died Thursday at Medical Center. East in Birmingham.  Survivors include 
his wife, Jackie Weldon of Lineville; three sons, Danny Patrick Weldon of 
Lineville, Ashley Patrick Weldon Jr. and Michael Scott Weldon, both of South 
Carolina; and one grandchild. Pallbearers will be James Miles, Steve Miles, Tony 
Miles, Henry Lambert, Joe Mullally and Mark Mullally. Mr. Weldon, a native of 
Tifton, Ga., lived most of his life in Clay County. He was a retired automobile 
mechanic and a Baptist.
