C. WORD and related to a number of other families of the Jay community, died Monday night at the WORD home near Jay of a heart ailment. She had been ill for the past ten months. Miss White moved to jay about two weeks ago, accompanying her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Edwards, parents of Mrs. Word. They came from Wedowee, ALA. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 at Cora Baptist Church Rev. E. R. Vincent conducted the services. Arrangements were made by L. D. Wolfe. Pallbearers were all nephews of Miss White. They were Leonard, Elbert and William Edwards of Jay, J. YL. Wright and Murray Wright of Boaz, AL.
