Services for the Rev. Loy White, 91, of Wedowee, Rt. 1, will be Tuesday at 2 
p.m. at Union Hill Congregational Methodist Church with the Rev. John Reese, the 
Rev. Vaughn Wood and the Rev. Sanford Phillips officiating. Burial will be in 
the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge. The 
body will be at the funeral home until an hour before services. The Rev. Mr. 
White died Sunday at his home. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lucille White of 
Wedowee; two-daughters, Mrs. Ione Bolt of La Grange, Ga. and Mrs. Iveller Irwin 
of Wedowee; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Ruth Boxeman of Roanoke and Mrs. Faye 
Searses of Malone, Fla.; a stepson, Joe Kight of Rossville, Ga.; three sisters, 
Mrs. Cumi Browning, Mrs. Daisy Fuller and Mrs. Audrey Underwood, all of Shawmut; 
two brothers, J.C. White of Shawmut and R.T. White of Huguley; two 
grandchildren; six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephew. 
Pallbearers will be James Irwin, Millard Mize, Larry Wortham, Lee Wortham, Pete 
White and Clarence Morrison. The Rev. Mr. White was a Randolph County native, a 
farmer and a Methodist minister.
