C. "Dick" White, 47, of Heflin, Rt. 1, died Friday after an automobile accident. Services will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, Cleburne County, with the Rev. Gus Young and the Rev. J. D. Bearden officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ruby White; two daughters, Mrs. Deborah Messer and Mrs. Charlene Sanders, both of Heflin; two brothers, Lachland White of Heflin and Sgt. Peter White of Cooksville, Tenn.; a sister, Mrs. Mildred Teague of Heflin; and his father, Ezra White of Heflin. Mr. White was a native and longtime resident of Randolph County. He was a heavy equipment operator, and a veteran of World War II. Mr. White was a member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church. The body will remain at the residence until time of services.
