Anniston Star
Funeral services were held at 2 clock Monday afternoon at Union Church in Clay 
County for Garfield White, age 24, of 401 Wilmer Avenue, who died in the local 
hospital at 1:15 o'clock Sunday afternoon. The Rev. H. Dean officiated, and 
interment was in the church cemetery, directed by Usrey. Mr. White had been ill 
with pneumonia for several, days. Surviving are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry 
White; the widow, three brothers, Nathan, Carl and Troy, and two sisters, Lonnie 
Dee and Emma Lee White, all of Wedowee.

Note: There is a typo in the obit. It should be burial Union Randolph County not 
Clay.
