William Elton White 75 of Rt 1 Wedowee died Tuesday at his home. Funeral was 
Thursday at Mt Pleasant Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery 
according to Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee. Mr. White was born in Randolph 
County in 1901 He was a retired farmer and a member of Mt Pleasant Baptist 
Church. Survivors include his wife Mrs. Lona Mae Wedowee, sons Powell White 
Langdale and Mike White Doraville Ga, daughters Mrs. Maurine Nelson Wedowee, Mrs. 
Vire Kinsey Roanoke, Mrs. Artis Daniel Oxford, Mrs. Faye Long Ashland, Mrs. 
Myrtilene Luker Delta, Mrs. Mary Ellison Phenix City, Mrs. Jane Huddleston 
Fairfax and Mrs. Sandra Taylor Bowdon Ga, 19 grandchildren and four great-
grandchildren.
