Sgt Peter Larry White 42 of Seale Ala died Friday from injuries he received when 
his pickup truck apparently struck another truck on County Road 24 near Fort 
Mitchell Ala. The funeral will be at 3 pm today at Vance Memorial Chapel Phenix 
City with another service at 1 pm CST Monday at the Pilgrim's Rest Baptist 
Church near Wedowee Ala. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military 
honors. He was born Sept 23, 1937, in Randolph County Ala a son of Mr. and Mrs. 
Eppy E. White He was a veteran of the Korean War and served two tours in Vietnam 
He received the Bronze Star and numerous other military citations and twice was 
awarded the Purple Heart Survivors include his wife Merita a daughter Teresa 
Lynn White Seale, a stepdaughter Regina Marie Bates Cookeville Tenn, a stepson 
Michael D. Gerald Tulsa Okla, a sister Mildred Linda Teague Heflin Ala, a 
brother Lachlana R. White Seale, and three grandchildren.
