Funeral for Mrs. Ora E. Wier 81 mother of a Columbus resident was Sunday at 
Midway Methodist Church here Burial was in the church cemetery Mrs. Wier mother 
of Thomas E. Wier died Aug 1 at Elmore County Hospital at Wetumpka Ala A native 
of Claxton Ga she was the daughter of the late William H. and Virginia Roach 
Entrekin and the widow of Swansea S. Wier. She was a member of First Methodist 
Church at Wetumpka. Besides her son here Mrs. Wier is survived by four other 
sons William and Shaffer Wier both of Roanoke Ala, Robert Wien Americus Ga and 
Max Wier West Palm Beach Fla, a daughter Mrs. W A Gay Wetumpka Ala, a brother W. 
H. Entrekin Americus and three sisters Mrs. Charles Ashemore Atlanta Mrs. A. E. 
Harner Newnan Ga and Mrs. W.J. McMahan Coco Beach Fla and 10 grandchildren and 
two great-grandchildren.
