Burial was in the church cemetery with the Revs. Hugh Lasseter and Hobart Murphree officiating. Quattlebaum s Brown Service Funeral Homo was in charge of arrangements. Active pallbearers were Calvin Shipp, Albert Cofield, Howard Seymour, Donald Benefield, Charles Shipp and Burlis West. He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Fairy McLeroy Williams; a son, J. T. Williams, Jr.; a daughter, Mrs. Kate Bassett; two brothers; a sister and five grandchildren, all of Roanoke. Mr. Williams was. a retired farmer and textile worker. A native of Randolph County, he was a member of Rock Springs Congregational Christian Church.
