Anniston Star
Mrs. Dessie Wood 78. of Newell. Ala., died at her home last Tuesday after 
anilines of six months.  Funeral services were held at Morrison Chapel Nov. 29, 
with the Rev. Hasting officiating. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery, Brown 
Service in charge. Surviving are one son, Odis Wood, Newell. Ala, three 
daughters, Mrs. Pearl White Heflin Rt 1. Mrs. Etta Johnson Newell, Mrs. Ruth 
Smith Bessemer; three brothers, George Wood of Tennessee, Will Wood, Tennessee, 
Henry of Hopewell Rt. 1; 11 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

Additional Comments:
Note: Mrs. Dessie Wood's maiden name was WARREN. The brothers listed above 
surname is WARREN.
