Anniston Star
Graveside services for L A. Woodgett, 59, of Wedowee, Rt. 2, will be Saturday at 
2 p.m. at Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery in Wedowee with the Rev. Otis Wilson 
and the Rev. R.L. Smith officiating and Ervin Funeral Chapel in charge. The 
procession will leave from 1008 W. 16th St. in Anniston at 12:45 p.m. Saturday. 
Mr. Woodgett died Tuesday at Regional Medical Center. Survivors include a 
daughter, Ms. Ella Ruth Woodgett of Smyrna, Ga.; two sons, Norris Lane of 
Carrollton, Ga., and Mack Jackson of Anniston; his father, Rufus Woodgett of 
Wedowee; three sisters, Mrs. Ophelia Goodwin of Wedowee, Mrs. Ruby M. White of 
Trenton, N.J., and Mrs. Mattie Ware of Anniston; three brothers, Jimmy Lee 
Woodgett, Robert Lee Woodgett and T L. Woodgett, all of Wedowee; and four 
grandchildren. Pallbearers will be family friends. Mr. Woodgett was a Randolph 
County native and a cement finisher.
