Tennessee Baptist/South Western Baptist
Mary Wright Departed this life Wednesday the 10th ult in Randolph County Ala 
Mrs. Mary Wright aged 107 years and 8 days. Sister Wright was a native of North 
Carolina and had been a Baptist ever 60 years Her mind was pretty good to her 
last hours and her faith firm in the blessed Redeemer. She seemed to suffer 
considerable in the agonies of death because of mortification in her limbs 
though all the time she said she was not afraid to die. The subscriber visited 
her last Spring as Missionary of Marion Board and had a pleasant time. She has 
had no chance of attending meeting for several years and said I was the first 
minister that had visited her in ten years. In her conversation she seemed very 
much consoled and said she was only waiting God's time. She has left six 
children out of thirteen to mourn for her but only fer a short time for they are 
old people and soon must go to meet their reward.
