Lineville Headlight
R. V. Wright, a prominent citizen of Wadley, was foully murdered while crossing 
the Tallapoosa River in a bateau last Saturday evening at 6 o'clock. A shot gun 
was used and the deceased was shot in the side and the top of his head was blown 
off. The body was recovered from the Tallapoosa Sunday morning. Bill Phillips, 
against whom the deceased had testified in some liquor cases, has been charged 
with the murder by a coroner's jury.
