(Billy) HEAD of Rt. 3 Roanoke passed away in a local hospital early Sunday morning. Mr. HEAD was 84 years old and a life-time resident of his community, where for 38 years he was a member of the Lebanon Christian Church. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Annie Olive HEFLIN of Atlanta and Mrs. Emily HARLIN of Roanoke Rt. 3; two sons, Paul of Hogansville, Ga., and Clay of Los Angeles, Calif.; two sisters, Miss Nettie HEAD of Wehadkee Rt. 1 and Mrs. N. W. FOSTER of Roanoke Rt. 2; fourteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grand-children. The funeral services for Mr. HEAD were held from the Lebanon Christian Church at 10:00 o’clock Monday morning, June 12, under the direction of Elder W. E . HAWKINS and Elder AVERY. Interment was in the Lebanon cemetery, with Roanoke Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
