Stroke Of Lightning
Kills Young Woman

Mrs. Gordon Yarbrough, young wife 
and mother, of the Omaha community,
was killed by lightning early
Saturday evening. She had started
to attend church services when a
storm came up and she stopped at
a neighbor's house. While she was
standing on the porch leaning 
against a post the stroke came
that caused her instant death. 
She is survived by her husband, 
a baby, and her parents. Funeral
services and burial were at Big
Springs Sunday afternoon.

Mrs. Gordon Yarbrough (Lois G. Brown) was born 1 June 1919 and died 3 
September 1938 in Randolph county, Alabama.

Lois Brown's parents were Alonzo "Lon" Jackson and Doschie E. Brown Brown.

Brothers and Sisters of Lois Brown are: Mae Turner, Ellic Brown, Hattie L. 
Alsabrook, Clarence L. Brown, Liddie A. Sanders, Alice Buchanan, Allie Brown 
and Marvin Jackson Brown.
