Roanoke Leader
This community was made sad last Saturday morning when Mrs. Jane Yarbrough 
passed to the great beyond. She had been sick for several weeks at the home of 
her daughter, Mrs. R. E. Ware. Grandma, as we called her, was loved by all who 
knew her. She united with the Providence church early in life and lived to the 
ripe old age of 82 years. She leaves her husband, 6 children, 54 grandchildren, 
23 great-grandchildren, 1 sister, several brothers, a host of relatives and 
friends to mourn her going. The burial was at Providence Sunday. Mr. Jim 
Yarbrough, of Lineville, Mr. Monroe Yarbrough, of Cleburne County, Mr. Will 
Yarbrough, of Lamar, Mrs. Leta Smith, of Roanoke, were called here Saturday on 
account of the death of their mother. Mr. and Mrs. George Bennett, Mr. Charlie 
Bryant and other relatives from LaGrange, attended the funeral of Mrs. Yarbrough 
Sunday
