David Yates 73 Route 1 died Friday May 19 Funeral services wore hold May 21 al 
the Goldridge Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery Mr. Yates was 
born Nov 10 1898 in Randolph Count a son of the late William B and Della Harden 
Yates Survivors include his wife Mrs. Annie Mac Yates Bowdon four daughters Mrs. 
Curtis Richardson Ranburne Ala, Mrs. Olin McClain LaGrange Mrs. Tom Rogers 
Temple Ga and Mrs. Bradford Blair Jr Fredonia Ala eight sons Leonard Yates 
LaGrange, Cecil and Vernon Yales both of Franklin Ga, Alva D Yates Detroit Mich, 
D C Yates Woodland Ala, W D Yates Jr Atlanta, Wilford Yates Bowdon and Kenneth L 
Yates Carrollton Ga. three sisters Mrs. Effie Yates and Miss Annie Yates both of 
Anniston Ala and Mrs. Lula Mac Traylor Bowdon two brothers Oscar Yates Graham 
Ala and Milburn Yates Carrollton: 24 grandchildren and seven great-
grandchildren.
