Services for Oscar Olin Yates, 84, of Graham, will be at 1 p.m. today at 
Goldridge Baptist Church with the Rev. Milford Ballenger, the Rev. Joe Rollins 
and the Rev. Monroe Lipscomb officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery 
with Rainwater-West Funeral Home of Bowdon, Ga., in charge. Mr. Yates died 
Friday at his home after an extended illness. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. 
Mamie Gibbs Yates of Graham; two sons, Gwendolyn Yates of Douglasville, Ga., and 
Wendell Yates of Mobile; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Yates of Carrollton, Ga., and 
Mrs. Lula M. Traylor of Bowdon; one brother, Milburne Yates of Carroll ton; five 
grandchildren; two step grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several 
nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Talford Gibbs, Cecil Yates, Houston 
Traylor, Wilson Richardson, Terry Gibbs and Kenneth Yates. Honorary pallbearers 
will be Mr. Graham's grandchildren. Mr. Yates was born in Cullman County and was 
a lifelong resident of the Graham area. The retired carpenter was the 'son of 
the late William and Delia Hardin Yates.
