Mrs. Ola Yates 81, of Woodland, Rt. 2. died in a Warner Robins, Ga., hospital 
Saturday at 1:15 a.m. She is survived by five sons, Eber Yates of Woodland, Alton 
Yates of Okinawa, Joel Yates of Cullman and Norman and Woodrow Yates, both of 
Warner Robbins, Ga.; a daughter, Mrs. Bonnie Sikes of Roanoke, Rt. 3; a brother, 
Joe Green of Woodland, Rt 2; a sister, Mrs. Mary Daniel of Woodland, Rt 1, and 12 
grandchildren. Funeral services were held today at 10:30 a.m. in Providence 
Baptist Church in Randolph County with the Dr. E. A Wood and the Rev. Bill 
Spradlin officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Thomas 
Yates, Ray Yates, N. L. Yates, Joe Hugh Yates, Joe Yates and Paul Sikes. 
Quattlebaum Brown-Service Funeral Home of Roanoke was in charge of arrangements.
