Rev. Stephen Whitfield Maddox was born in Randolph County on Jan 31, 1864, he 
married Idora Halpin of Randolph County.

Additional Comments:
"Whit" Maddox owned a General Store in the Wesley's Chapel/Halpin's Beat area 
of Randolph County. After a trip to Oxford in 1912 to buy supplies for the 
store he caught pneumonia and died.

My greatgrandfather was one of the founding members of Wesley's Chapel Church 
in Randolph County.
