KILLED BY LIGHTNING
A deplorable tragedy occurred at Abanda last Thursday shortly after noon when 
Oscar Gilbert was killed by lightning in the house of Mr. John Bishop.  The 
deceased was 26 years of age and his untimely death is greatly lamented.  He 
was a brother of Mrs. W.O. Terrell and Mrs. J.B. Robertson of this place.  The 
funeral occurred at Wadley Friday, conducted by Rev. J.H. Harris.  A large 
concourse of friends attended.
