This is the tombstone on the grave of Robert Alexander Boyd and his wife, 
Elizabeth Caroline Green Boyd. They are buried in the Wortham Family Cemetery 
(also known as Pineywoods) in Randolph County, Alabama. Robert served as a 
Private in the 31st Alabama Infantry (Confederate) during the civil war. 
Robert was born in 1838 and died in 1929. Elizabeth Caroline was born in 1842 
and died in 1921. Robert's son, Andrew Jackson Boyd, was my grandfather.
