HANDLEY, of Columbus [Georgia], announces the engagement of his daughter, Cora Irene, to Mr. Grover Stephenson GLADNEY, of Roanoke, Ala., the wedding to take place May 12th. —[Originally published in the] Atlanta Constitution, May 9th. The above announcement will be read with interest by many. Mr. GLADNEY is operator for the Western Union at this place [Roanoke] and has many friends who offer hearty congratulations. The prospective groom left yesterday morning for Columbus, accompanied by Mr. E. B. McDONOUGH. After the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. GLADNEY will visit Jacksonville and St. Augustine, Fla., where they will spend a week. Upon coming to Roanoke they will have rooms at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. WARE. Mrs. GLADNEY will be cordially welcomed to Roanoke.
