[From The Roanoke Leader (Randolph County, Alabama), 8 Feb 1911, p.1] ----------------------------- PRETTY WEDDING LAST WEDNESDAY ----------------------------- On Wednesday afternoon at two o’clock the marriage of Miss Irma Morgan SCHUESSLER and Mr. John Ray PATTILLO was solemnized. A large number of friends and relatives witnessed the impressive ceremony, which was performed at the home of the bride’s mother. The spacious hall and parlor were thrown together and profusely decorated in bamboo vines, ferns and white hyacinths, while the soft light from many candles, studded here and there in the green, made a beautiful setting for the bridal party. Little Misses Leah Glen BURPEE and Mary Jim PATTILLO, sisters of the bride and groom, bore the ribbons which formed the aisle for the bride and her attendants, who entered to the strains of the mendelssohn [sic] wedding march. Misses Lois PATTILLO, of Atlanta, and Carade SCHUESSLER were the brides’ [sic] maids and each was strikingly beautiful in white coat suit and white picture hat. The bride, dressed in traveling costume of a becoming blue shade, descended the stairs alone, and was met at the improvised altar by the groom and best man, Mr. J. J. NEER, of Atlanta. The ceremony was performed by Rev. S. L. DOBBS, the ring ceremony being included. Mr. and Mrs. PATTILLO left immediately for a week’s sojourn in Florida, after which they will be at home in Atlanta, where the groom has business interests. Mrs. PATTILLO will be very much missed in social and church circles, and carries with her the good wishes of scores of friends. Among the out of town guests in attendance at the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. S. J. PATTILLO, Misses Lois and Mary Jim PATTILLO, of Atlanta; Miss Fannie Lou PATTILLO, of Buford, Ga.; Miss Belle MORRIS, of Atlanta; Miss Lucy HOUSER, of Anniston; Mr. Bob BURTON, of Jasper; Mr. JONES, Mr. BOOTH, Mr. STEVENS, of Atlanta; Mrs. Carl SCHUESSLER, Miss Sallie SCHUESSLER, and Mrs. Rhea SCHUESSLER, of LaFayette.
