The bride-to-be is Miss Alma OLIVER, and the ceremony will occur at the home of her father, [Tallapoosa] County Superintendent [of Education] J P OLIVER. Rev Henry M STEVENSON, of Dadeville [Methodist church], will be the officiating minister. Miss OLIVER is spoken of in the highest terms of commendation by all who know her. In addition to her natural endowments of beauty of person and strength of intellect, have been added the culture and the graces that give superlative charm to Southern womanhood. Mr STEVENSON is widely known as a successful educator and a gentleman of strong personality. In extending him sincerest congratulations, the editor claims the privilege -- while pleading guilty to partiality -- of saying that no one is more deserving of the good fortune this auspicious event will bring to him than is the generous, manly man whom this writer [O. H. STEVENSON] has known so well through all the years since childhood’s dawn. The bride-elect and groom-to-be have been true to all the relations and responsibilities of life that have come to them, and we may confidently read in the omens of the future a married life of unselfish joy and usefulness. The bridal party, including relatives from this place [Roanoke], will leave Dadeville Friday morning, stopping at Sylacauga and Talladega, and arrive that evening in Roanoke over the A B & A [Atlanta, Birmingham & Atlantic Railroad], where the bride and groom will be the guests of Dr and Mrs W W STEVENSON for some days.
