STEVENSON [1871--1937] and Miss Elsie SHARP [1878--1938]. The ceremony was performed by Rev Henry M STEVENSON, brother of the groom, at the home of the bride’s mother, Mrs Mary SHARP, in this place [Roanoke]. No invitations were issued, and the marriage was witnessed only by a few relatives and close friends. [From The Roanoke Leader (Randolph County, Alabama), 18 Nov 1908, p.3] [Olin H. STEVENSON was editor and publisher of The Roanoke Leader; both he and his wife are interred in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke. Rev. Henry M. STEVENSON (11 Aug 1876--28 Jun 1964) was pastor of the Dadeville (Tallapoosa county, AL) Methodist Church at the time of his brother’s marriage. Both he and his wife, Mayme Gene FULLER STEVENSON (23 Dec 1877--7 Jun 1953) are also interred in Cedarwood Cemetery, along with other family members.]
