This file is copyrighted and contributed by: William Fischer, Jr. ============================================= August 2004 MARRIAGE OF PROMINENT COUPLE LAST SATURDAY ---------------------------- At 5 o’clock last Saturday [30 December 1922] at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Major SCHUESSLER their eldest daughter, Miss Margaret, was married to Mr. James Connor OWEN[S] in the presence of quite a number of relatives and friends, several being present from other cities. It was quite an elaborate affair, with musical program preceding the ceremony, which was performed by Rev. John R. TURNER of the First Methodist church. The home was beautifully decorated. Immediately afterwards Mr. and Mrs. Connor [sic – OWENS] left for a short wedding trip, and will be at home January 4th in Anniston [Calhoun County], where the former is a member of the faculty of the Presbyterian college located in that city. The bride [obscured print – is a?] bright and popular young lady, who carries with her the best wishes of many friends.
